Welcome to Yogamigi Ashtanga

Yoga is to calm your mind and with ashtanga yoga we experience the transformation that happens within us, while doing the postures, purifying our body and mind.Many peple relate yoga as sitting and mediating, while in ashtanga yoga is the movement of the body in harmony with the breath ,the start point to connect with the others parts of ashtanga yoga.

The method of ashtanga yoga as taught by Sri Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, South India, where he was teaching until his dead (93) in 2009, give the postures one by one, in specific sequence in accordance with deep breathing. Nowadays his grandson Sharath is following the tradition and teaching with his mother Saraswathi, and as he said yoga doesn´t belong to one person, you have to experience yourself but for that you need to create certain discipline and dedication.

I invite you to come and practice as the traditional way of learning ashtanga yoga in Mysore India: you practice at your own pace, and you get the personal attention from the teacher.
